New windscreen

Picked up a new windscreen from Niel Perry, formerly of TVR car parts, now M L performance. A very helpful bloke Just fitted a new steering column lower bearing, that too came from Niel. Just need to get the new front screen fitted, then a new rear screen, then save for a new paintjob, all worth every penny.

Is it feasible to fit one yourself?. anybody tried it? not being tight, its just for the convenience factor as the trim needs refixing and the lacquer around the screen needs attention. Mine's long overdue for change and I know will come out easily (it was loose at one end and leaked till I sealed it).

Theoretically a "piece of cake" to fit, a squirt of sealant, lay it on and more sealant to tidy up the edges.

......but been a few posts in the past about badly fitting screens,took 'em three atempts to put one in mine.

Think they charged me just an extra tenner or so to remove one day and fit new one weeks later after respray.

I had National Windscreens to supply and fit my new screen, was the original and took them over 4 hours to remove and fit new one.
Bonus cos I only paid the excess of £50.
