Tonight Matthew, I acquired one of the above (i saved it from going to the tip)

Can anyone tell me about it?! I'm quite into old games, but I have never heard of a Philips videopac

Brings back memories, poor mans Atari but had some fun on a mates console. Pacman type game was OK as I recall. Will provide, oh, seconds of entertainment these days (as will most games of that era now). Never go back....

ETA I would have saved it too, pretty worthless I'd imagine but nice bit of nostalgia.

I used to have one, my first console!

Don't remember much about it, but it was ok from what I do recall. A decent lump of games and some were pretty good.

I also seem to remember, bizarrely, having a word processor cartridge to allow you type using the keyboard!

That's a great link - brings it all right back. Many hours lost to gunfighter and cosmic conflict.

Had a G7000 as a kid (until a drunk parent fell on it) - might even had a couple of cartridges lying around somewhere......

I had one of these with loads of games. The cowboy one was best. Not sure what happened to it, suspect my mother threw it in a skip when I wasn't looking.
