Well it appears that TVR have finally sold the one and only road going Cerbera Speed 12 to a private collector. It also appears that the car has been fitted with some of the body pannels and the engine from the BGTC racer (suggesting the engine is a lot less potent than the road version). Does anyone have any more pictures, information etc on the car and or the sale?

Thanks.

Rowan.

We have it on good authority that Kerry Gardner's Cerbera Speed 12, as seen as Goodwood FOS, will be coming down from Blackpool for the event. We will endeavour to include an interview about the car in the Programme of Events. It only gets better!

It's back! The stunning road legal Speed 12 returned to life in public at the TVR Car Club's Power & Passion at Cardiff on September 25th. The car is now in private ownership, has been fully restored and with a few modifications, will be seen back on the circuits of the UK in the future. We will run a full article on the car, it's history and it's future very soon.

There is also a small movie on the website.

Sorry to reply so late Rowan.
I think I missed this thread while on my travels.

The Speed 12 is indeed back and a lot more will be seen of it shortly.

So it's either going racing or someone's fitting that clever low rider bouncy suspension to it

It'd probably cost a 'bum' to race though... how many spare engines do they have?

Richard Thorpe is building a rather interesting 750bhp Tasmin FHC which might give it a run for its money..

Strange but true!

Sorry that is the only photo i took at the time. I didnt know that much about TVR back then and it was only later that i saw PW and Neill Anderson in Motor magazine and realized who i had been talking to !!
I will try and find the sale docs for the Sunny because i bought it that day and arranged to meet the owner at Bruntingthorpe for the test drive.

Pop along to Baily Street and see for yourself!

It's owner might not want people to know it has a yank V8 under the bonnet and ..... I'm telling you too much
