I have a 2007 DB9 and the Sat Nav has stopped working completely, wont respond to any buttons. AM say that it is offline and seems that it is not getting any power.
Does any one have any ideas or had a similar problem?

Check the DVD drive in the boot in case you've managed to bump it -- might have unlatched the cover or ejected the disc.

The satnav and phone both failed in my 2005 DB9 a couple of years ago. Turned out to be the aerial tuning unit (in the boot) that had failed and cost £450 to fix.

I am assuming that it is the Disc type and not the HDD. If its the disc, it is highly probable that the reading eye has stopped working, if its the case, you have to take it apart (as above) and have it repaired. smile Or Aston can sell you a new one for £1.5k - £2k (including fitting) frown

If that was the case I think the power would still be available. When the aerial tuning unit failed in my car the satnav and phone were electrically dead.

Thanks for these suggestions, I will check them out later, but the Bluetooth/phone still works ok. It only seems to be the sat nav which is out.

My car has a built in phone, no bluetooth.

What message does the SatNav screen say?

Is it something like, "reading disc please wait", or is it, "cannot read disc, please insert disc"

I understand the satnav is dead, no messages, zilch, but it might be worth checking F43 in the cabin fusebox. (GPS Tuner).

Tried all the suggestions, but still nothing. Everything else is working....just the sat nav is totally dead, won't even flip open. Does anyone know someone who does repairs in Hampshire/ Berkshire/surrey. Failing that I will have to take it lancasters to investigate.
Thanks.

Try to open the sat nav screen lid with your fingers as the tilt mech might be at fault. Quite a cheapish repair.

My dealer in Chichester discovered a failed satnav aerial tuner when they plugged their diagnostic gizmo into my DB9.
