The 4.0L Tuscan I think always had 360bhp

The original 4.0 Tuscan had 360bhp, the Red Rose conversion gave it 380bhp (still 4.0) the S had 390bhp and then 400bhp - all out of the same 4.0 engine that in the Cerbera had 350bhp

Confusing isnt it - I think the new 4.0 S has 400bhp still, but you would have to check with TVR to be sure of the claimed figures - at the end of the day though you can be sure it is very very fast!

Had RR rebuild couple of months ago. Was quoted 395BHP now (with modified ECU).

Do you mean the Tuscan 2? Will no doubt be the same as every other TVR... a continuous series of improvements from the day it's first launched (i.e. the first S6 out of the factory) to the day it's decommisioned.

Wouldn't have thought they'll have done anything special, unless they've found a couple more defficient components in the last couple of months.

According to my information the changes in the Tuscan 2 are cosmetic. As far as I'm aware and I stand to be corrected there are no changes to the engine spec.

Yet you advise someone on another thread to get a post-Smolenski re/built one...

Specification is the same, e.g. bhp etc but build quality may be better due to a more motivated work force. After all Mr. Smolenski is buying them lunch every day whilst a canteen is being built etc etc.

I saw in your profile that you've a 2000 Tuscan.
Is it a left hand drive? I thought first LHD’s left the factory end 2002.

Do you take it out in the Swiss snow?
Special Tyres?

Excellent, another Tuscan with an accent! Get ready for A LOT of fun and A LOT of questions!

I wish, no can't import new LHD Tuscans into Switzerland cos >2000 don't comply with new Euro4 regs, which the Suisse enforce (unlike France, Germany, Belgium, etc. Tuscans do comply with Euro3 regs applicable to <2001 cars though )

Sure, got big nobbly tyres with metal spikes - like in my profile pic! Otherwise I have a 4x4 Cosworth
