Rare (?) Beer

Found this in the back of a cupboard

Not surprisingly, I can't find any reference to its existance - probably because he died before it went on sale (I believe). Has a best before of May 08, he died in July 07.

So, a rare bottle of Frank Butchers never released bitter. 10p or £10,000 ???

well judging by the fact it went off 5 years ago i'd say it's worth not so much!

Probably 10p I'm afraid. Very little in the way of old beer is worth anything.

Royal wedding and coronation beers are sometimes worth a little bit, but probably not more than a few quid.

If you are looking for rare beer, you'd be hard pressed to do better than this:

It is a tiny Abbey brewery where you have to ring ahead to order your beer on certain days of the month before you collect it. You can't use the same car or telephone number to buy more beer within a 60 day period and each customer is limited to 2 cases.

some brewers are coming out with limited run bottlings that are designed to be 'laid-down'. Brewdog Abstrakt for example. This is something new to the beer industry.
