Goat meets Chimp

Well spotted; mine is/was Rosso.
I am not 100% convinced that the respray completely captures the original, but as original rosso will end up looking like a patchwork quilt after a few years, it looks almost better now than when it was new.
Of course you can't really go by a photo with some of these colours.
Mine looks very little like the colour there (at least on my monitor), whereas I have a shot that captures it quite accurately here, it also looks completely wrong once uploaded to the forum.

One of these cars looks very familiar! I have R813KGN which was Rosso Pearl but is now Nightfire Red. No fear of stone chips now!
Must be twins. Think it came from Mole Valley.
I test drove that wreck of yours Must be twins. Think it came from Mole Valley.
, and chose this one instead.Sorry Iain, only kidding (about the wreck bit, I did actually test drive it though)

Yes, you have it right there.
Sold originally by Mole Valley to two business partners, then resold by MV again.
I picked mine up as second owner at about 1 year / 6000 miles.
It was the interior colour that was the big decider for me, yours was magnolia, and mine is biscuit.
I always wondered what happened to 813.
Good to hear it has also survived

Must meet up and join the terrible twosome and see how Cherry Pearl compares. Agree with GB re photos and colour - never seems to quite capture it properly.

Cherry Pearl was the other red I fell in love with, but again the example I saw did not have an interior I liked. In any case, I was a little slow at making an offer on the one I saw, and missed it.I was at the point of ordering new from the factory when mine was put in front of me; Quite literally, as Mole Valley called me and asked me to come down to have a look at it before they showed it to anyone else.
I think Iain and 813 might be a little far away to join us, but Goat and GassyChimp will be at the Ace Cafe, North Circular this evening.
All red Chimaeras welcome.

I will be travelling in from Berks. via M4/M40 late afternoon / early evening.

265 miles each way in this weather tonight not an attractive option. Must take a photo to show the new colour.
I thought we might have to give you a 'pass' on this one Iain (being short notice and all).Though, if you miss the next opportunity, your dedication may come into question

For anyone reading this that doesn't know, the Ace Cafe has a TVR night every third Wednesday of the month.
Last night was not a great showing (5 cars), but the weather and time of year may have something to do with that.
I have to admit, I arrived in something that I am sure (as discussed above) had once been a shade of red, but looked like it had been rolling in the mud all afternoon.
