Hello,

My screenwash pump is no longer working and I thought i'd clean the contacts first, or if that didn't work I'll have to replace it.

Is there a knack to accessing it? Its tucked behind the front grill and isn't easy to fiddle with!

Also, I know its a ford part, but does anyone know the actual part number - its for a 98 Chimaera 400.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

i think removing
a) the number plate
b) the horns and their mounting plates

will help.

Not 100%, but removing the inspection hatch for the headlight (in the footwell) may also help get to the other side.

I assume you've checked the fuse and connections - could just be corrosion.

Hi,
Remove the front grill, washer bottle is held in place with 2 10mm nuts and bolts.
Just disconnect the two cables and remove the complete assembly.
Then test the feed etc and or clean and flush the pump.
Ypu may have to remove the carbon can aswell just to make access easier.
This is on a 93 pre-serp.
Cheers

Don't buy a pump/motor from a specialist supplier (too expensive). You can buy a complete washer bottle, hose and pump of fleabay for far less that a pump from a TVR specialist.
I got mine here
