Be careful out there gents (and ladies) Just had an unscheduled trip into a field of sugarbeat. Took the Cerbera out for one last blast before putting it to bed for the winter. Thought it would be fine as the roads were dry, think again, slightly greasey as it turns out. Came over a hump back bridge as about 35mph onto a long uphill straight, squeezed the throttle and next thing the back end just snapped out of line. Luckily nothing to hit for miles so just slewed sidewards across a grass verge and into a field! Luckily no drainage ditch running along side.

No damage other than a scuffed alloy and a bits of grass, mud and leaves sticking out everywhere - large damage to ego though!. 6 years and 3 TVR's and never had a moment until now.

I like accidents like that, no significant cost, but a great lesson learned.

Yep, got away with murder. An inch long scratch to one Spider and a small nick to the Armorfend right underneath the front, but can't be seen unless your lying on your back looking underneath!

It was a four mile drive home and I managed to come off at the only 50yd section without a drainage ditch! and a low grass verge.

Very very lucky, nothing really but a massively damaged ego

I had a blat a few weeks ago to a local meet across the Cotswolds, roughly a 50 mile round trip ,all fine though plenty of leaves/mud & was moving quite briskly following/keeping up with 5 or 6 big bikes biggrin.

1/4 mile from home on the "Downs"(White tree) in Bristol, I pootled round a roundabout, on the exit the back end slewed out & a quick correction was needed to avoid oncoming bollard, felt a right twit. I go there a few time's most days & was going about 18 -20mph...shamed smile

Last week on the way back from work loads of cars crashed due to cold damp roads. After spinning mine 720 degrees two years earlier I take things very very carefully. But when it goes it goes.
