Anyone any info -

My brother in law had his new (well 2 months old) Ford Mondeo broken into last night. He left it all locked on his drive and found this morning a laptop and briefcase nicked out of the boot. He found out when he got in it as the glovebox was open and the central cubby hole bit + the contents thrown around inside the car.

No sign of damage and he has the keys. The door and boot were locked when he went to it but both were ajar slightly albeit locked.

I know BMW's can be stolen without keys but have not heard of something as mundane as a base Mondeo 1.6d being broken into this way.

Any ideas ??

Is it keyless entry? A few of the Focus ST and RS lads have had their cars broken into and/or stolen because of this.

We have an 09 and if any door or the boot is ajar, it WON'T lock.
