Hi Peeps…Well what can i say…It's taken nearly all day but its been well worth it…I have been a silly boy and not checked the chassis but then I'm sure it will be fine, I will have a look soon…Started poppy up from cold and started first time..Warmed up lovely..Then a gentle drive home as it was a bit damp..Hydraulic clutch..Lovely…Had a couple of heavy pedal moments..Awesome..5th gear, Cruising..Heater.HOT and works on both speeds!..Handbrake..Holds the car!..Seats..Very comfy and just the right height..There are some little bits that will need doing but i will post up a separate post..The sad news is…Delilah is in my garage and will be going..As much as i love her there are some sad memories now so its time she had a new lover!..Besides i now realise once you drive a V8 theres no turning back!….Yeeeeehaaaaa….Cheers…Ziga
On the way there..

A nice morning..

Un-covered and ready for starting..

Stopping off on the way home for some lunch…

And finally home..Parked next to my beloved who i will miss..End of a chapter.

Are the wheels on Delilah 14s and on Poppy 15s?
If both are the same size I reckon delilahs gold wheels would look good on Poppy.

Looking good there mate glad you have got her home ok.

Made up for ya Mark, really chuffed you've got there at last. cloud9

Letting Delilah go is a good move too, she will just end up sitting there in retirement never being used or abused. Let someone else have the fun riding in herlick

And just in case the other day's antics repeat, here's a view I hope you don't see very often

Hi Mate...More infectious than a dose of itchy scratchy…Not as loud as Delilah..(Yet) but a totally different growl..I like...smile

It looks good Mark. The series 2's really suit a subtle colour and no spoiler. Have fun!

Is it a flapper? Today was a good day for RV8 flappers. In many ways, the 350i Wedge experience ends up as a noise thing. Not very quick, not very handsome, not very comfortable, not very good at going round corners .... but the noise!

Well she pops and bangs..A bit like placing small animals in microwaves but not like a AK47 like Delilah does so i guess its a flapper?..Cheers..Ziga

That first drive home in a new toy is an unrepeatable experience....

Eyes on all the gauges, ears listening for noises, nose smelling for smells, and getting home without mishap, priceless smile

Sorry mate…Didn't mean to make you jealous…How available are Aerostar engines as i believe the 1990 4.0ltr goes in fairly easy with very little modification to the chassis as its based on a cologne..I know its not the same…But its possible for a man of your caliber…Ziga
