Can any one direct me to a forum which caters for MK1 RS Escorts?

I've tried to join rs owners but it doesn't allow me and I email the web master and dont even get a reply

any help would be welcomed

What do you mean doesn't allow you?

A lot of people seem to have problems joining up and they're changing things around a bit at the moment so the email may have been missed.

Although after seeing the way things have been going on within the RSOC I'm really not sure if it's worth joining anyway to be honest.

Are you using a free email address (like Google / Hotmail) to try and register on the RSOC by any chance?

You need to use your ISP email address to register on there now. The forum was setup that way to stop people registering "fake" accounts about a year or 2 ago.

As another option, there's also the Rallye Sport forum smile

Yes I'm using Google email. I'm crap when it comes to techno stuff so unfortunately "ISP" means nothing to me.

Alex, I notice you have a MK1 Focus RS, I bought one too a few months ago

I need technical answers re mk1 Escort rs and assumed that was the best forum.

ISP = Internet Service Provider so basically the email that would have been allocated by Virgin / Sky, BT, etc (or whoever you're with). If you try registering with that email it should go through smile

If it's for queries on a Mk1 Escort RS i'd say RallyeSport Escorts is probably your best bet for that car as most of the owners tend to reside there. On the other side of things however, the RSOC forum is definitely the best place for stuff related to the Mk1 Focus RS though smile

Which build number FRS did you buy? - Just wondering as it might be one that's known on the RSOC Build List / forum from a previous owner so there may be some extra info on it smile

Thanks Alex

Cant remember the build number though its a 7000 miler and totally std

The RS Escort club sounds like the one then. I have registered again as I seem to remember doing it once before but I can't open any topics as they all appear private. I seem to remember having gone through this before and I emailed Dave.

Lets see what happens.

I'm on many forums but never experienced this trouble before

thx

No worries. With regards to the Mk1 FRS, if you haven't already, have a look at www.focusrsbuildlist.co.uk as there may be some info / pics / history for your build number from a previous owner.

If not you can also contact Clayton Borg, who runs the site (he's also the MK1 FRS Registrar for the RSOC) as he may have other info on the car that's not logged on the site smile
