I'm replacing discs and pads all round on my 97 450 and looking at my calipers, they look a bit tatty and could do with a clean up. Although they stop and perform well, I'm also thinking maybe a caliper rebuild could be in order but once I've done all that it will probably just be easier to get rebuilt calipers at £45/side from here:

http://brakeparts.co.uk/#page=parts&pageSectio...
The parts I am looking at are BCA 0886 and BCA 0887

So two questions:

1. Has anybody used these people and can vouch for a safe part?
2. The 260mm discs come in two 'height' sizes, 53mm and 58mm. Is the same caliper suitable for both discs (my car takes the 53mm height). I'm guessing it is, it's just the caliper holder that alters slightly which is why a different size height disc is required.

Comments appreciated.

Your link seems to go to a shed on a pick up truck?

Those look like BrakesInt. part numbers?

I've had various parts from them (but not complete calipers) never had a problem, found them to be an efficient and helpful company and guess you don't get that big by selling "tat".

Ah, I see now.

But it's still £125 plus vat, so new fronts will be £300 v refurbs at £90.
