Which Camera Thread - Sorry

Hi all,

Have got about £400 to spend and want something easy to use. I'll mainly be using it to take images of our vehicles and for promotional purposes so decent image quality is the main thing.

A friend of mine has suggested the Panasonic Lumix GF6 - looking at the reviews that seems like a fair option.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

There's a lot in that price range.... I bought a Fuji X20 recently and am very pleased with it.

To be totally honest if you are just buying the camera to take pictures of stock, you may as well just get any digital camera from a reputed manufacturer. IQ if you are just resizing for web upload is largely irrelevant as long as the camera can take a sharp, punchy image it wont matter.

Mind you, saying that i had no idea the Canon eos M could be had for £299 (with cashback)

Thats a lot of camera for the money, it has the same sensor as the semi-pro 7d dSLR camera.

For your budget and what you are looking to use it for I would advise you look at the Sony RX100.

I have the Fuji X10 it is great to use and produces very nice pictures. I also have a Sony RX100 M2 it is easy to use and easily produces fantastic shots that are easy to crop. I would out of the two recommend the Sony based on your needs.

If you are looking at the lumix GF6 I would recommend you look at the lumix LX7, it is very good, I have a LX3 which was fantastic back when it was released, the latest LX7 is better buy than the GF6 for your needs.
