I know that Aldi and Lidl don't offer a discount when you buy 6 bottles of wine - but was quite surprised to discover that Tesco had 'very quietly' dropped their 5% discount off 6 bottles as well. Tesco did this at the end of October but I've only just discovered it whilst querying a recent receipt as I thought there was an error

Must admit that I usually buy 6 bottles or more at a time, with the discount for 6 being part of the reason why I bulk buy. I doubt if it will change my shopping habits...apart from I might only buy 5 one time.

What do you think about case discounts?

From time to time Sainsburys do 25% off 6, and that can be a mixed case as well, finished last week but hopefully back before xmas

Sainsburys have done 5% off 6 for a long time.

Strangely, Tesco Metros (or whatever the small ones are called) recently did 10% off 6. This coincided with a promo in September at the one where I occasionally buy sandwiches for lunch when they gave out £2 off £10 (or £4 off £20) vouchers. They had some decent bottles on offer at the time, so it was rude not to combine 3 discounts at once!

look out for Waitrose 25% off 6 bottles or more, they run the promotion every so often.
