Do you get garden spiders in your house ??

Talking to a guy yesterday who claims if there is a big spider in the house (as he has)

all the garden/outside spiders can sense this and will not enter the house.

i just don't know..................

Using their "spidy sense".
Sorry couldn't resist, but seriously, if they keep coming in I'll keep killing them. Couldn't let one off, not knowing where it was going to end up.

garden spiders dont come in houses - house spiders are what you find in your house and they are always there. You only spot them at certain times when males wander looking for females.

Not sure why you are laughing... the spiders you find in your house are indeed the type that are known as "house spiders". It's a real type of spider that, well, lives in your house...

house spiders largely get their food from fixed webs so would not bother coming inside as there would be nothing to eat. House spiders actively hunt and don't just sit in one web.
