DB9 digital speedo

Hi all, I am a new member to the group having recently purchased a 57 plate DB9. On a recent journey of about 60 miles, the digital speedo went blank after about 50 miles. I stopped & turned off the ignition, then re started the car. Still nothing. Then arrived at destination & left the car for a few hours. Came back & started the car & hey presto, normal service was resumed. Has this happened to anybody else? What is the likely cause & should I take the vCard back to the dealers to be checked out?
