This little beauty popped up last night at a very fair price, so I just went for it. I like the colour very much, the interior looks sharp with later seats, and (hopefully) the EFI will be less temperamental than the K-Jet. Does anyone know the car?

It's still far from here, but it should be here for Christmas.

David, are you gonna be buying up all the 25 year old "S" and exporting to your side of the pond??
Sounds like you are getting a taste for Great British Sportscars, is this a sign that America is looking here for the eSSence of driving fun ??

Haha! No plans to do anything in particular, it's just a question of jumping on an opportunity to have a bit of fun. Besides me, I only know of one other S enthusiast over here, and he is the chap that owns my first car. I'm hoping there is at least one more person over here that might be interested in a nice silver S1 once I've finished fixing it.

My only real goal is to have a Griffith one day, but that may change if I get to try one (apparently).

Not having driven a Griffith, I cannot comment on the "behind the wheel" experience only the SSooound they make!! Awesome.
Cannot touch the experience and fun of the "S" though!!

David,
Another one! So...now when I tell people how rare the car is in the States, I am going to have to ask you how many more you have imported in lol. I am shipping mine off on Thursday! Should be there same time as yours smile.

On a side note, I would like to see a closer pic of the warning lights. I am trying to redesign my dash on the warning lights and switches.

You wouldn't want one of those vettes, Mike, they put the steering wheel on the wrong side. I reckon they intend the passenger to steer....

Hmm, I'll have to look out for one of those. I'm afraid the deals I've been offered aren't as exciting, such as the 1990's Élan and an original Cooper S, but I think the Cooper would have required some green on my end. Lots of later vettes about, for not a lot of money, but the TVR is waaay more exclusive!
