I don't mean driving a Veyron to the North Pole, but more humdrum experiences that others may take for granted.

For example, despite many years at the wheel I have never:

1) driven a lorry
2) ridden a motorbike on the road
3) towed a trailer
4) driven in the congestion zone
5) owned an automatic or paddle shift
6) owned a convertible

I can't see me ever getting round to managing points 1) - 4), but there's a good chance of me ticking off the last two before I die.

Nevere jumped a bridge that was out.
Never driven extended periods on the footpath
never driven through plate glass, or through a pile of boxes full of tissue paper
Never driven on 2 wheels sidey-style

although, technically not everyone takes that for granted...

I have never:

- Written off a car (fault or non-fault)
- Been caught by a speed camera (static or van)....(was given a SP50 by a marked car though...)
- Driven a 4WD vehicle
- Driven a car/van with a tow-bar (or towed a trailer)
- Done a trackday or driven a lap of a racing circuit (go carts and 100m of LeMans excluded)
- Driven a rear/mid-engined car

Your list:

1) driven a lorry Nope
2) ridden a motorbike on the road Yes (all of 500m on a dulville)
3) towed a trailer Nope
4) driven in the congestion zone Yes, regularly
5) owned an automatic or paddle shift Yes
6) owned a convertible Nope (did have a vert courtesy car though)

For example, despite many years at the wheel I have never:

1) driven a lorry YEP - only 7.5 tonnes
2) ridden a motorbike on the road YEP - well it was a scooter…!
3) towed a trailer - many times
4) driven in the congestion zone - yep
5) owned an automatic or paddle shift - we have both in one car
6) owned a convertible - we had a rag top Jimny (!!) for a few years.

I can't see me ever getting round to managing points 1) - 4), but there's a good chance of me ticking off the last two before I die.
Things I want to do:

Drive/own a car over 400bhp (managed near that three times but never more)
Own an "officially numbered" 300+ car (the 335d is a smidge over but that's doesn't count) with over 200bhp/tonne
Do a track day
Drive a Caterham/Westfield/nutty car, maybe even build one
Own a V8
Own a classic

I've never been on a track-day

Never driven above 110mph

Never ridden a motorbike

Never had a convertible, or a V8. Largest capacity car was a 2.3 straight six.

Never driven my own car further abroad than Calais.

From the OP's list
1) driven a lorry - Nope
2) ridden a motorbike on the road - Lots
3) towed a trailer - Yep, even before I had a car licence
4) driven in the congestion zone - Nope, and hopefully never will
5) owned an automatic or paddle shift - Nope and hopefully never will
6) owned a convertible - Nope, doesn't really appeal to me

As for my own list
1 - Driven a supercar
2 - Owned a motorcross/enduro bike (hopefully this year)
3 - Owned a 4x4 (keep being tempted to buy a Series III Landrover or even a 101)

As for whoever said they'd never driven in the Alps, do it! Easy and cheapish trip to organise and well worth it!

I've never held a drift, driven at 200mph nor driven a lap of the Nordschleife. Those are the 3 things I'd love to do.
