I did the same with my 54 Ford, bought it while drunk at 2am.

That car looks fantastic, like a true survivor. I'd get it roadworthy and do as little as humanly possible to it. What fantastic patina.

Very nice, oily rag to the upper surfaces, a gloopy oil/grease/whatever mix underneath, sort the mechanicals, and ready to go :-) I wonder how long the Goldseal engine has been in it?

Did exactly the same, I'm now the proud, and slightly worried owner of an A35...

A 4 door one.
I think it's just the two door a35s that have a classic racing division. (But may be wrong).

Far too nice looking to rip apart for racing though.
You'd need to change the engine, gearbox, brakes and more - it'd be a shame to do that to a (mostly) complete car.

Epic drunk ebay'ing. I do find cars like this interesting, off the road since 1962 means it had a relatively short lived 7 years jogging around the countryside before being parked up for some 51years, how do these things happen?
