Grantura III Bonnet on ebay

Appears to be the 'original' bonnet from Rod Begbie's Grantura on Ebay.

Is that indeed the original, or perhaps just an earlier bonnet !

The sticker on the bonnet looks like one from the Nurburgring Oldtimer meeting in 2002. Wonder why the bonnet has been allowed to gather so much dust since then.

Would be very surprised if it was an actual original equipment item from the 1960s. Should be around 10 - 12 kg if it is truly a lightweight part.

Sold for £218.

Not bad for a bonnet that might well need some work and is of unknown weight.

Hope it is going to be added to the rest of a new racer that we haven't seen as yet.
