Watching VHS Tapes
Discussion
From a very non-tech indvidual.
The missis and I have split. I'm in a new flat. Among the stuff I've brought are dozens of old VHS tapes. I used to watch these on an old Sony VHS player through a Sony Bravia TV (about 5 years old). This had a button facility on the remote to switch between analogue and digital.
I've brought the VHS player with me, but left the TV. I've bought a new Panasonic Viera and can't work out how to get it to play the VHS tapes. I've connected the two with a SCART cable, but nothing happens. The VHS is turning, but a blank screen on the TV.
Previously, the Sony and VHS were connected aerial to VHS, then VHS to TV, didn't seem to need a SCART connection.
Can anybody give me a clue please?. I don't want to bother with the hassle of transferring the tapes to DVD

Scart plugs need to be firmly seated at both ends.
