Keyboard recommendations

Hi

My daughter has started learning piano and is currently practicing on a small keyboard but I would like to get her something a little better and more sophisticated - full size with a stand I suppose.

Any pointers as to what I should consider, what sort of cost I should have in mind ?

I'm a guitar bloke so have no idea in this area

If you want full size but not an proper upright Piano something like a Yamaha portable grand would be fine, as close to a real piano as you'll get, which would be ideal for a beginner. Loads available second hand.

Another vote for Yamaha. Unless you want something in the Steinway league, a Clavinova will do everything that a conventional piano does and more, except going out of tune.
