Well if the outriggers and chassis have genuinely been done then it would be quite a good project and a candidate for turbo charging… errr, supercharging… whatever. Which is best?
I would definitely factor in some engine refurb, including a cam and perhaps some head work (valve seats), new rad etc.
It has a roll cage so it may have been tracked. The targa roof cover doesn't look too clever. As always, it is what lies underneath that matters. I would definitely give that chassis a second glance though and look for receipts.

Like the style of the rollbar, anyone got any idea who makes these ?
I think it's a T R Lane rollbar, however, if you're tall read this.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
I know I would be biased as I have one but the engine in the 430 is what made the chimaera to me, drove quite a few before I ended up trying out the 430 and it just feels completely different, very revvy for a Rover V8 and the power delivery is more like a sports car rather than a tourer. I havent come across a chimaera* yet that has out paced it either on track or in a straight line on the road.
- standard and decatted, obviously you highly modified guys would probably kick my ass
