Car clubs...what would you do differently?

Been having an interesting discussion with someone about yearly membership car clubs, of which many exist at different levels, general krux being yearly fee £xxxx for xxxx points.

Conversation went on to talk about the points system being a bit confusing, so thought it would be interesting to see what you guys would do if you had a car club? What would you change if anything? Keep the points system? Change it? Do something completely different with the setup?
