No, don't overfill it, there is a max level for a reason.

I drive a Corsa 1.2 C 2001.

The engine oil is at max level. Can I still add 375ml of this stuff: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Molyslip-MOL1-325ml-Engine...

or is it going to mess up the engine?
Why would you want to add that.....

Give it an oil & filter change with a good quality oil rather than some snake oil potion

The goop's more likely to harm the engine than a little overfilling.

It doesn't need Molyslip. Modern oils are fine as they are.

as said..

go buy a good quality oil filter + a good brand oil of the recommended weight and change every 5k miles not 10k

that depends... you can usually quieten down noisy lifters with something like

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/...

Although it will just hide the problem that will eventually need addressing properly.

It's a chain driven engine from what I remember.

Use the manufacturers recommended 5W30 fully synthetic engine oil and you'll be fine.

Keep checking every month or so; they also have a habit of leaking at the oil pressure switch also.

I used 5w40 fully synthetic instead. Does it make any difference?
If it's not the recommended grade for your engine then yes probably, I remember Fords of that era were very unhappy if given the wrong oil, doubt a Corsa is any different!

We answered your questions about engine noise last time you asked. the solution is still the same. Get it fixed properly, not with snake oil

It's more of a complete explosive failure, ejecting half a litre of oil into the bay! Also covered in OP's last topic...
