I seem to remember a discussion earlier this year when many people recommended a specific make of pressure washer it may have been on sale through Amazon at the time, does anyone recall the make please?

I don't recall anything specific for Amazon, but I got a Nilfisk based on the recommendations here....
They seem to have a good reputation amongst PHrs, are cheaper than Karcher too.
Very happy with it so far !

Thanks that sounds like the same type of comments that I remembered were made previously.

Avoid Karcher unless you can guarantee they wont get frosty. Otherwise you are looking at a split control head. Not expensive to sort, but you shouldn't need to fix it in the first place.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced pressure washer that will run from a tank of water rather than a mains feed? Can't fit a hose adaptor to the stupid mixer tap in my kitchen and don't have an outside tap.

We have a small Karcher which my mum picked up in deal through Homebase or Tesco I think. Pretty good quality, came with a number of attachments for the cars, and also a patio cleaner one which is excellant.

Stays in the garage when not using it and never had a problem over the past 2 years.

I had one for a bit that wouldn't run from a water butt, couldn't get the pressure up enough to run it.

Don't have the water butt any more but could buy a tank if I found a suitable washer

I got a Karcher K4 on a Costco deal a few months ago to replace my old Karcher that had lasted for about 15years. The K4 is inferior quality IMO.

I have the Nilfisk E140; it's great and usually on offer somewhere.
It's one of few things I extended the warranty on from two to four years. Karchers only have one year.
