Mods..
Apparently I've broken some rule in the Noble forum by starting a thread about selling my M400 and putting a link to the advert. It was done not to promote the car, but because it's become a running joke on the forum over the last couple of years as to whether I'd actually do it. However, rules are rules, so if I broke one I accept that, although the amount of people promoting and advertising businesses on PH in a roundabout way kinda negates any argument as to what is wrong with it anyway.
What has pissed me off, is why on earth couldn't the link just be removed, with a Mod's note underneath explaining why ??:rather than deleting the whole thread that had already had contributions of humour from regulars, and interest from others that don't frequent that forum as to values. It's done this way on other well run forums where the modding is strict but much more polite.

I feel that a moments editing of a post and a follow up e-mail seemed too much like hard work for somebody.

I got a mail saying " no adverts or links in the forums".
As I said, all they had to do was to inform me they had removed the link. Makes you feel like some sort of spiv.

the thread was based around you stating your car was for sale ergo it was an advert, removing the link still means it's an advert...

I've explained that wasn't the case at all. There had been an on-going joke about it for a couple of years,as there had about my 75.
But you obviously know best.rolleyes
Quite why there's a growing attitude of some mods on PH nowadays to treat everyone as naughty little schoolboys in the tone of their replies is beyond me. It does nothing positive for the site.
