intercooler - insurance

I need to declare that I have a new pro alloy intercooler for insurance purposes.

Does it increase the bhp at all?

i found some wouldn't insure the car at all with an upgraded intercooler... were strangely fine with other mods.

IMO Intercooler won't add any power on a stock car, its needed for higher power levels and for track days to prevent heat soak and thus power loss.
