Hi

Does anyone know how you remove the rear BMW emblem on the boot of my 1 series?

It's the badge that doubles up as the switch to pop the boot. My existing badge is really tatty and I've got a new one to replace it, but can't work out how to get the old one off.

Have looked on the net but can't find anything specific to removing the badge from a 1 series hatch. Any help appreciated.

Cheers for that, not the 1st time you've helped me out!

Just went out and tried that method using a fine screwdriver and it worked.

Now just need to work out what is the best way to stick the new badge on...

Hi there. Love your pictures. I am thinking of getting the carbon black and white badges for my 1 series m sport too. Your pics have now confirmed that for me. Did you get your badges from bmw or eBay, Amazon or other?

Hi all, I’ve had a read of the post. My other half wants to change the emblem on the boot lock for his BMW 1 series M sport. Wanted to show him the link you have but it’s not playing is there any chance of someone finding and reposting it to see if that works. Thanks ☺️

The link went strange when I followed it, but all I had to do was remove the second

from the url.

The badge on mine has started flaking, after the garage cleaned it a few weeks ago, with what I assumed was a mega power washer, as lot of laquer has lifted around the car too.

Oh no not good, you should make the garage pay for a replacement badge. Thanks for the info on the link 😁
