I know this won't set everyone's world on Fire, but coming back to the real world after my A3 TDI for the last few years, I couldn't be happier.

It's a 63 Golf GTI PP DSG in white.

I actually love it. Covered 500ish miles across the Moors and Dales in the ten or so days I've had it. Winter tyres went on today.

Here's a pic:

Nice, I bet it's a bit more entertaining than the old TDI.

It's a great looking car but I just can't get over how hideous those wheels are, I hated the Monza's but these are just another level! Why cant VW make nice wheels?

I'm a fan from the second I saw them in the showroom. Even more so now that theyre stacked up in the garage whilst my boring winters are on. They're 16in VW Toronto's and make it look like just another Golf. That being said, a few people have been caught by surprise when the light changes to green!

To be fair i haven't seen them in the flesh so maybe my opinion will change, hopefully they won't get adopted by the chav's and stuck onto every VAG going like the monzas.

Interior on these new golfs is brilliant, all the car you'll ever need , congrats

Very nice.

In January I bought an Alfa Giulietta TCT and 17,000 miles later I'm wondering if I'll ever buy a manual car again. The current GTI is superb and the DSG gearbox is also fantastic. My only criticism of both the DSG and TCT is I wish the manual change felt a bit more mechanical like it does in a Ferrari....lol

Or those ruddy Audi A8 wheels which I saw on every Mk4 Golf around here.

That's what sold me in tbh. I was in the showroom sorting out my girl's new car and I couldn't believe what a night and day difference it was between my three year old Audi and the new Golf.

And it also had the benefit of getting me away from the local Audi steeler's and everyone thinking I'm a for the car I drive (they have other reasons now, I'm sure.)

That looks brilliant! Did you drive a non-PP as well? What's the performance like?

If it were me I would just stick 16s on it year round.

I'm surprised you can get 16" over the brake calipers. Big offset?

Great looking car. Love the Monzas thumbup
