What car should I get next?

Next summer i'll be looking to sell my current car (04 clio) and upgrade.

I'll just be turning 20 and have 2 years of no claims to my name.

I don't wan't to spend much over £2000 (preferably under)

i've been looking at all the usual ones.
mk4 golf, focus, leon, 3series, 1series, saxo vtr, astra,

I think i'd prefer a hatchback.

Whats the most bang for my buck? - without crazy insurance.

I'd prefer a hatchback, but i'm not ruling anything out yet.

Saxo VTRs feel fast as they are flimsy which makes everything seem more exciting.
