I just called AM Emergency Assistance to jump start the car (the battery sort of went a week ago, now I'm back from a work trip and I can't even unlock it).

My question is, who funds this service? I just call them up and it seems they don't charge...is this part of the warranty, or is it free anyway?

AM assistance is certainly included in the extended warranty:

Can't believe it is not included in the new car warranty as well.
