16" wheels on C207?

Will 16" wheels fit on a 2010 E Class coupe? I'm looking at getting some second hand alloys with some winter tyres on them for mine.

I know the E Class saloon and estate can have 16's but I'm not sure whether the coupe's brakes are different so need more clearance or something.

17" appears to be the smallest you can fit. 235/45 R 17

I've got a 2013 E250 saloon and with 225/55 16 tyres and wheels on (should have 17"). If you look inside the fuel flap it'll list the compatible tyre sizes.

Mine are from a 2007 E220.

I have just had the car serviced and I asked Mercedes if it was ok and they said although the width is slightly smaller (7.5 to 8.0) it was ok.
