Hi Guys.

Basically, long story short, my sister was involved in a road traffic accident last night on a roundabout. She was going on the roundabout (indicating right to signal she intends to continue onto the next exit) when a car came onto the roundabout with a fair amount of speed, and hit her car on the front-left bumper/wing region. The collision resulted in her car being deflected from its original circular path, and into the roundabout island itself.

My sister did complain of some pain, however she managed to get out of her car. The police and paramedics then arrived, and dealt with the situation. The paramedics had a look and said that she would just hurt tomorrow and to take painkillers/ibuprofen. She says that her leg in particular feels sore this morning.

The other driver admitted that it was his fault to the police at the scene yesterday. Her car is currently at a local police compound, and the police advised her that the next step is to get her insurance company to assess its damage.

Now to my question itself: One of her friends gave her a number for "total traffic accident management" or something along those lines; Is it worth going via them, or is it better to just deal with it through her insurance company directly?

Sunny.

Ideally this but they will often just put you to an accident management company nonetheless.

If you go through your insurance company you are often told that you have to pay your excess and are not entitled to a courtesy car until liability has been attributed (if you went for a cheap policy) - why not go with one that comes on a recommendation....if your insurance co. doesn't play ball that is.

Europa who come highly praised on here have helped me out vastly in the past smile

Accident management companies are brilliant in this type of situation as far as I am concerned and I wouldn't even bother with the insurance company as they are just going to refer you to a credit hire company and pocket the referral fee themselves.

Thanks for your responses guys.

I think its probabily best to try going via insurance directly first from the sounds of things on here!
