I keep hearing of ways to protect other people from motorists, but is it time to ban them for their own good and everyone else's? No one wants to ban a mode of transport, but given in most major cities a segway is faster, and google's already made a car that doesn't need a motorist, have they had their day? I've clearly made my mind up but just don't want to appear bigoted. What are the pros and cons of this idea?

About as sensible too, but at least this one wasn't meant seriously.

It's bad enough that the OP is proposing to drive elephants, please don't bring giraffes into this. Think of all the low bridges and overhead lines we'd have to replace!
