KIA Pro_Cee'd GT
Discussion
I've just had this dropped to me for a week;

Early impressions are it's OK, don't mind the looks in an alternative Focus ST sort of way but doesn't drive as well and could do with a bit more power but it's very well equipped.
Anyway, does anyone know what I'm supposed to call it? Do I annunciate the _ and ' like TG did? That would make it a 'KIA Pro underscore Cee apostrophe D GT'. Bit of a mouthful.

Sat in one of these at Carfest earlier this year - thought the interior was very pleasant place to be and the looks are, IHMO, better than rivals in the same price bracket.
If I was in the market for a hot hatch it would def be on the list - along with the Hyundai Veloster. Rather like the design direction the two Korean companies have moved towards.

I think they are part owned/directed by the Korean government?
Santa Fe/Sorento and Sportage/IX35 definitely share some sort of platform but I'm not sure on the rest of the models. I think the cee'd and i30 could.
Very impressed with them of late. Interiors have come a long way especially and in terms of Asian manufacturers I can only think of the premium brands (Infiniti and Lexus) and maybe the more recent Mazda 6 that rival them.
As for this one, similarities in looks and handling to the Focus ST but feels a bit gutless in comparison.

It looks fantastic IMO. I'm hoping to blag a drive in one at some point.
Be very interesting to see how it sells as it's in a sector with some stiff competition. To make things even worse most of its completion have their own loyal fan base: Focus ST, Golf GTI, Astra VXR. It's going to take one hell of car to get these guys to switch badges.

7 year warranty UK 10 year warranty USA bumper to bumper
For a lot of people that makes a lot of sense takes risk out of car ownership plus there aren't bad cars made these days so the handling etc will be perfectly fine.
When will the other big brands start pushing 5 year warranties that needs to happen the next logical step
Heck 10 year warranties for EVs or longer that really is game changing
