HMS Norfolk D21

I served on the above county class destroyer from Jan 80 - May 82. The ships final trip to Chile.

Anyone else on here serve would be good to track down some old shipmate's.

Thanks for that advise, i joined and am now in contact with fellow cremates who i have not seen or spoken to in over 30 years.

A lad i joined up with join Norfolk around mid 79, a stoker (MEM) i can`t for the life me remember his full name might have been Jan Perkis/Parks some thing like that, he was a janner or yoke-al i`m sure??

70th anniversary of a previous Norfolk in action against Scharnhorst has just passed. Same ship was also involved in the sinking of the Bismarck.

And we would have been sunk if we had sailed around the corner from Chile to the Falklands with no munitions and a skeleton crew. We were the nearest ship for a 1000 miles.
