Hot shoe wireless remote receiver

Does anyone know if, and where, I can buy an infrared receiver to go on the hot shoe of my camera which will receive the signal from my wireless remote to control the shutter? The problem I'm having is that the infrared detectors which are built into the camera are sometimes in a position where I (and my remote) can't see them. Cheers

I can't think of a repeater but a cheap option is a set of RF 603s and use RF rather than IR, it works over a longer distance too and doesn't need line of sight. About £20 or so from the bay of fleas.
