Annoying video adverts with sound

it it only me or are others getting this as well?
whilst reading a thread i suddenly get some advert playing sound!! scroll up/down to find what it is, only to find some video add that's playing on the PH site!!
ultra annoying! if i wanted to play a video add i would play it, it shouldn't play automatically and consume my bandwidth plus become an announce by playing sound??
is this just me or are others getting this as well?
is there anyway to stop this announce?

PH 'shouldn't' have noisy ads but they are happening more and more often. Someone at Haymarket or the ad agency isn't doing their job. The ads help pay for the site hence many of us (myself included) did resist for a long time, but after multiple instances and the usual lame apologies only for it to happen again a week later leads to one answer, Adblock.
