I was around in the 70s and saw Sabbath many, many times. It won't be like it was back then, it can't be, but if you've never seen them, then go. I doubt if they will be as loud or energetic as they used to be but to hear all those guitar riffs live is something else. I was hooked on Sabbath and no other band came close. Treat yourself and go and see them. Gotta be worth seeing 'em? What do you reckon?
The only issues with the band now are the recent arguments and accusations about Bill Ward, who is one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting.

And the fact Ozzie can't sing, can't really walk properly...in fact he has to lean on the mic stand to stay upright. Having said that I'd probably make the effort if they weren't playing in a vast arena or charging so much.

cant get tickets now though for any where close.
The stuff with Bill really confused me, still need to find out what went on properly, heard it was because of money, his ability to play live, all sorts of different things.

Having seen footage from the '70s nothing has changed.I'd have gone if Bill Ward had have been playing.
I'm going to see them in Sheffield tomorrow night. REALLY looking forward to it. Ticket cost me £55. I've not had to pay to go to a gig for 5 years (that includes Bloodstock, thanks to a pretty successful podcast/radio show - The Wyrd Ways Rock Show - www.wyrdwaysrs.com), but this was one I had to go to and my connections don't extend to Sharon Osbourne (yet). One of the "lesser" line-ups (Iommi, Martin, Murray and Powell) was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, and this is the band that can legitimately be called the Founding Fathers of Metal. For me, a no-brainer.

I saw them in the 70s and then the 80s with Dio. Both very good. There can be no doubt from watching present day YT clips that Ozzie's voice has become, um, questionable...and where he once used to prance around stage he now leans on his mic or dodders.

I will admit to being a little concerned when Ozzy opened with War Pigs - he was way off pitch for the first couple of lines. Then it was almost like some unseen hand reached down and wound his little key up, and he hit pretty much every note for the remainder of the gig
4th time I've seen them now - one of those bands that don't need fancy stage setups or gimmicks, they just put on a belter of a performance every time.
I will admit to being a little concerned when Ozzy opened with War Pigs - he was way off pitch for the first couple of lines. Then it was almost like some unseen hand reached down and wound his little key up, and he hit pretty much every note for the remainder of the gig

To be honest I was over the moon, my overriding fear beforehand was that he'd be miming to a backing track...
I was at Sheffield last night. I've been waiting for that day since April. I wasn't disappointed! What an amazing show.
The band were fantastic. musically brilliant. And Ozzy, yes he may me a pensioner, but he's still got it!
Also, a massive improvement over when I last saw them at Ozzfest (2001)
