Bassfiend229hp / Phil claims to be 'larger than average' (the GF has yet to comment personally).
Not actually met him in person (yet), but by his own account, he may be of assistance here...

Bassfiend? Phil? shout

The late Chairman was on the region of 6 foot 6 and insisted that all TVRs were made to accommodate him.
My TVR guy is 6 foot 7 and has no problem unless wearing a crash helmet, in which case he takes the roof off.
And Phil is or was over 20 stone IIRC. They use him getting in and out of the car to pressure test the passenger side window seals, I am told eek

Yep Phil is (or was) rather large, Phazed I think is 6'4", and Mat Smith is about 6'7" I think, and fits in my Chim OK smile

You are welcome to come along to the TVR club meet which is in Broomhall Castle Menstrie at 12:15 first Sunday of every month which happens to be next Sunday & I should be there with the Chim unless it's snowing.

I'm 6'6" & a tad under 15 stone (a bit of a lightweight really) still with pedals adjusted forward & seat back I've enough room. I suggest the main criteria is leg length rather than overall height, I also have 38" inside leg (suit you sir !)Big Rob in the Northants club (also a Chim) is a couple of inches taller & a few stone heavier than me but has taken out his seat runners & bolted seats direct to floor to increase headroom, his issue is a long back rather than legs. Things can be adjusted to suit most shapes & sizes it seems.

Richard made a good point - the pedals adjust, one by one.

6ft 3 and I was 22 1/2 stone ... it was a bit of a squeeze getting in with the roof on but once in there was plenty of room.

I'm now 19 1/2 stone and getting in is much easier ... it doesn't help having four shot discs but that should be "fixed" on Thursday. :-D

Apparently watching me get out is like watching an elephant giving birth but I don't give a sh*t coz I love it and when I die you can bury me in it! :-D

Many thanks Guys, great information.

The TVR Club day in Stirling sounds great - will be good to see the machines up close. Many thanks for the invite.
The club meeting has been moved to the Westerton Arms Hotel in Bridge of Allan starting at 12:30 due to a wedding at Broomhall if you are still thinking of coming along.

Looks a nice car. I see it has "upgraded headlights". Does anyone know what they are? One of the photos shows them fairly close up.

It looks like they have removed the original lenses which are around 7 1/2 " and fitted 7" sealed or semi sealed units as you can see the gap around the edge. there would need to be some purpose built mounts made. Also it appear,s to have pas. But I can't see the reservoir anywhere. Or is that thing that looks like a pump just an idler? Never seen a non pas one in the flesh.
