Well finally ditched the bosch 044 pump, had a new tank made using a intank pump, and internal collector which negates the need for a swirl pot. Also has the jic -6 fitting for flow and return.

So now I should have no fueling problems , a pic of old and new

Looks like the business Nigel.

I feel that's what I need, less then 80 miles on track and then it cuts out in L/H corners!

Dare I ask how much, I'm guessing £700+.

I have the same problems on track days. Long hard left handlers with 1/3 of a tank of fuel and the engine coughs. When you fill up you realise that the tank is 1/3 full when the gauge says 1/2. I assume the fuel is all pushed by turning force to the right hand side of the tank and the fuel exits on the left?

Correct but as said before, my 4.6 never suffered and would track till empty!

Can't imagine why?

Well I wanted to make sure the fuel was supplied even under cornering, didnt want to clutter the boot with a swirl pot, I needed a pump the can supply more flow. What we saw on the dyno was the fuel supply tailing off, it was still safe.

So gone for a walbro pump 450 gts, and a new fuel guage sensor that is a tube type rather than a float arm. Internal collector box has the fuel supply returning into its internal pot. Finally fuel tank filled with safety foam

So the above is fix as I don't want to be starving the engine, price for the tank was approx 700

That's an excellent solution to the problem Nigel. Food for thought. scratchchin
