Pre the internet I bought my dad a pair of mats for his 2.8 Capri. Light grey, matching the interior carpet, red binding, matching the exterior. Quite thick pile, not Rolls Royce carpet thick but not budgety cheap. I only need the front 2 but I want them cut to fit the foot wells, with a heel pad on the drivers side. They also had 2.8 injection written up the side of the matts in the same font as on the tailgate. Anyway, they now look tatty and shagged out. I'm thinking a new pair would make a good Xmas gift. As I expected, loads of companies on eBay selling mats, some of whom are selling with a logo. However, I can't find the correct script/font. Just generic Times New Roman and the like font. For the mats to look good, they need the correct 2.8 Injection font. Question is WHERE do I pick these up now, in this spec? Don't really fancy £100 plus either. There must be somewhere that either has old stock or a mat specialist who still sells to order, can someone point me where please?..

Try Ebay.

Probably many sellers doing mats but you'll have to find the right one for you...smile

Sounds like the sort of question you should be asking on an owners club forum rather than a generic car forum. I'm sure there are companies that will make the things to order for you, but you'd pay for it; much better to find pre-made ones.

I am not sure f this will work. But.......

There ate companies that do embroidered designs in T Shirts rugby tops etc. You know, where you might have a coat of arms or shield.

Why not contact a firm and talk to them. If supplied the blank mats maybe they could do it.

Alternatively, how about owner's clubs. It must be the sort of OEM kit purists love.

As the car hasn't been made for over 27 years & there weren't that many made you're unlikely to find them with the ebay sellers.
Your best bet is going to be an owner's club.

I just searched "capri car mats" on Ebay and it wasn't much use TBH.
