Carrying Three Kayaks 3x837 Thule Hull-a-port, any others?

Anyone carry 3 kayaks, soon intend to have 3 sit on tops, one adult and two junior. The description for the 837 says minimum width is 48cm so installing three on 135cm aero bars might be a bit tight not to mention quite expensive if proven to be a mistake. Google not really helping as most links point to converted pickup trucks in the US for sme reason

Carried 4 before. Have seen more for short moves done.

I just use a Thule upright set. Usually carry two kayaks, so I have it set far to the one side so I can get just the one on, then strap down the rest if needed on the other side. All carried on their side.

Agreed, either use a set of uprights & have them all on their sides or strap the biggest one down & strap the other two to the big one.

You really don't need to be too precious with plastic boats.

I see how that can work yes, piccies and brochure dont really do it justice as suggests you can only use it for two boats. Imagine in my scenario I could offset the bars from centre and put one small boat on one side, then a large boat and a small boat on the other, the smaller closest to the bar so the straps reach over the small boat to pull bigger boat taught. Actually hoping the two smaller boats stack as well, so could put my boat on one side and stack two smaller ones the other side
