Whining noise from steering on turning V8V

Hi all
Having gone out yesterday for a spirited drive I noticed when I returned that there was a strange whining / moaning noise when I turn the steering wheel.
Could it be the power steering pump or pulley, has anyone had this issue and can advise a cure and rough cost please?

Just a quick update fault diagnosed as a poorly power steering pump by Adrian at BR.
New pump fitted there and then all within 2 hours a great job as always.
Happy owner again although the car needs a really good clean thanks to the state of the Cotswold roads!
Whilst I was there I met AMDBSNick nice to put a face to the name and what a lovely DBS!!

An odd resurrection...? Funnily enough I have this at the moment. I took it over to Chiltern Aston and was advised it was within normal limits. Hmmm... after a visit to a trusted mechanic I am going to change the fluid (using Fuchs CHF 11S) with the Jag additive from Aston Bits (about £15 - cheapest out there). Just waiting for the oil extractor pump to arrive, so doing it next weekend. Will advise the outcome, if of interest..?

Changing the steering fluid (with the special Jaguar sauce additive) has indeed made a significant difference to the steering pump noise. It's now not imperceptible but well within acceptable range. As I'd already bought the Sealy 4 litre oil pump globe, I used the 'vacuum pump to pull it through the return hose' technique from YouTube and it's quick, worked a treat and the old fluid was a brown colour, definitely due a change, fresh green pulled through.
I did jack up the car to 'just to be sure' do the bleeding thing a bit more easily. Used an expanding foam earplug and a cut off finger from a glove to block the return connection in the reservoir bottle.
