STEERING WHEEL RECOVERING

I have an almost flat, wood rimmed, steering wheel in my S. I do find it too thin for a good grip especially at low speeds. It has been refinished at some time and I suspect it is even thinner than when new. I am sure I have seen reference to a company who are able to do a bonded recovering of such wheels but I cannot find it. Anybody out there had any experience?

It might make more sense to sell the wood one and buy a new leather one.

My mate just got his steering wheel flocked.... See Suffolk flocking services. It's really nice and grippy. Might be an idea.

Yes, I was tempted to change the wheel but the boss is apparently an unusual one (9 hole)and would probably need changing as well. If it proves difficult or expensive to refinish the wheel I may have to go down that route.

9 holes? Is it a Moto-Lita? If it is you'll get good money for the wheel and you can keep the boss and fit one of their leather trimmed wheels to your old boss.
