For an S2 do I go for V or Z rated tyres - its got V rated RE721's on at the moment and I've had no problems apart from the fact the front 2 have only lasted 4/5K miles due to uneven wear as noone seems to be able to set them up correctly!!
V rated should be fine unless you're going to do some serious track work. RE71's were the factory fit originally IIRC.

I had RE720's on mine… good tyres IMHO and were better in the wet than most.
I had the car laser aligned at Austec and it ran as striaght as an arrow...
Some will say Z, but the car is reccomended for V, up to 149mph IIRC. I can't ever see a V6 getting up that fast without some serious mods, so I'd stick with V. They're also a lot cheaper.
