Took the throttle bodies off the Tamora last week to have them machined for the bearing mod.

Also had them blasted whilst they were off..

Still some bits to put back on, and thinking of having the linkages re-plated, but they look a lot better so far.

Are you going to use the tvrpower throttle body gaskets? They look a good idea.

Power bearings or gaskets Buzz?

I have just purchased the bearings elsewhere, the throttle body gaskets are supposed to seal against the head properly and kill heat soak.

Hi Ant

As mentioned in the post the the Bearings I believe that Power do a set which are much improved... As for the gaskets I already have them fitted which were a prt of the engine upgrade...Apols for the confusion. The reason for asking was mine will be coming off in the winter as I'm going to do wjhat you have done; clean up the throttle bodies and up grade the bearings and polish the fuel rail

Buzz, mine are in at Power at the moment, awaiting collection after getting sleeved bushes fitted. I was quite surprised just how slack the spindles were, as you can't tell just how bad until they're all off and separated. Then you can assess each one. Will post up before/aft pix when done and it should cure my S6's hesitation/spitting back through the bodies and general lack of ability to hold a tune smile (Cue the jokes…..)

Buzz, I bought the sealed bearings from here
http://www.bearings-direct.com/vmchk/Miniature-Met...

They seem perfectly adequate to me, the difference in feel once installed is noticeable when just operating by hand.
