As per title, advert claims it's a 2.0 V6 Turbo? Didn't even know these existed, must be like rocking horse doo-doo?

Not sure of the current rates but back in the day, Italian VAT was 18% but cars over 2 Litre attracted the 'luxury' rate of 35%.The Ferrari 208 (turbo) was another such model and was (probably still is?) I believe the smallest production V8 engine.

Yep, definitely RHD. The only information I can really find is what echos the info already here really, stuff that implies that it was a tax-dodge for the Italian market and nothing about it straying over to these shores, but being RHD does make it seem legitimate rather than an import (I couldn't see the point in doing an aftermarket engine swap over the 3.0?). I'm far from a font of knowledge when it comes to Alfas, but am I right in thinking that the whole front grille arrangement is different to the V6/TS ones as well? Something "doesn't look right", rear badge reads 'V6 TB'. It's a shame that there are no engine bay pics, curious little car 
I owned this back in 2001;
It was a 1997 with 20k miles on it, I paid £11k for it when the same money would have bought a 60k miles Twin Spark or an Integrale Evo but I won't dwell on that!
It had come from Holland and also had a Hammann Motorsport four pipe exhaust. The engine whilst visually similar to the 3.0 litre has very few interchangeable parts. Performance was good but not as quick as the 3 litre (or a Fiat Coupe Turbo) although it had a nice slug of torque when the overboost was triggered. One downside was the Alfa V6 snarl is muted by the Turbo quite considerably. I also noticed that it ran very hot and performance was much better in colder weather. Handling was similar to the 3 litre ie a bit front heavy
When I lived in Italy in the late 90s I had a chipped 164 TB, it had approx 260bhp, that was a flying machine and great fun to drive. The NA version of the engine debuted in the Alfa 90, the sole user of this engine.

One of our Dutch customers brought one of these over to our trackday this year. When we looked at the front suspension we found that it's based on the Twinspark rather than the V6! Most odd.
Then again, it might have been a Friday afternoon car and Luigi on the production line may have just put the wrong bits on after a few too many glasses of Barolo!vit4 said:

The front grill is a phase 1, all ph1 cars had the same grill, ph2 is more inset and has a chrome surround..

And Maserati who also did a 2.0 V6 twin turbo of their 2.8 engine used in the Ghibli (306 bhp) and Quattroporte (286 bhp), among others.- if my information is correct
